Homelander is a central character in the comic book series The Boys by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, as well as its television adaptation. He is the leader of "The Seven," a team of superheroes, and possesses immense power, including super strength, flight, and laser vision. Despite his public image as a heroic figure, Homelander is ruthless, manipulative, and morally corrupt. He exhibits narcissistic tendencies and lacks empathy, often using his powers for personal gain. His character serves as a dark parody of the traditional superhero archetype, exploring themes of power, corruption, and unchecked authority.
To be honest, I have never read this series or seen the show, but I have heard this song quite a bit on TikTok!
This is an intermediate level piece, because you have to shift up to at least sixth position to play the high G at the end. We're in the key of C Major, which means there are no sharps or flats, and in 4/4 time. The rhythm of this piece is fairly straightforward because it's completely made up of eighth notes. In the original version, the tempo does change quite a bit, but in this tutorial I will be staying in one tempo (80 BPM) so that it's easier to follow.
