In this post, I'll share the top 10 love songs to play on violin and the free sheet music.
At last
This is an intermediate tune as it does have shifting. The rhythm is the biggest thing to watch out for, because it involves triplets and ties.
Can't Help Falling in Love
This piece is very beginner friendly. It can be played in a variety of keys, but my favorite is D Major. If you'd like, you can play it in third position and take it up the octave the second time around.
A Thousand Years
This piece is relatively beginner friendly and can be played entirely in first position. However, some of the rhythms can be a bit tricky because they involve dotted eighth notes and sixteenth notes.
Perfect
The original version of this is pretty long (9 pages) and in an un-friendly key (four flats), but the version I've included in the sheet music packet is much easier and very beginner friendly.
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
This is an intermediate level tune due to the rhythm and need for shifting.
Wonderful Tonight
This love song is relatively short and beginner friendly. Like most of the songs on the list, the thing to watch out for is the rhythm.
All of Me
This tune holds a special place in my heart because it is the backing track to my husband and I's wedding video. The trickiest part of this is the key (four flats) and the rhythm.
Thinking Out Loud
Another one where rhythm is very tricky! A more intermediate level tune.
You are the Reason
This song is a bit newer, but quickly becoming a classic love song. It's very beginner friendly and can be played entirely in first position.
Until I Found You
Again, a newer song but one that is highly requested and establishing itself in the canon of love songs. Very beginner friendly.
