Sia's "Snowman" is a tender, emotional Christmas song that uses a snowman as a metaphor for love and loyalty. The lyrics tell the story of someone pleading with their beloved "snowman" not to leave or "melt away" as the seasons change. With its gentle melody and heartfelt message, the song explores themes of enduring love and the desire for permanence in a world where things often come and go. Released in 2017, it has become a unique addition to holiday music, blending melancholy and warmth.

This is the most challenging Christmas tune that we'll play this year, largely due to the key. There are 5 flats: B flat, E flat, A flat, D flat, and G flat. The hardest one of these to remember and execute is the G flat, because that is the same note as F sharp. Although you do not technically need to shift, it will make some of the notes and string crossings easier. In addition to the tricky key, there are also some tricky rhythms in this piece. The best way to figure out complicated rhythms is to subdivide. Determine how many of the smallest note value fit into the larger note values to figure out how long to hold them.
